The Watchfogle

A place for Authentic and Honest watch talk.

About Me…

I’ve spent 15 years in the Luxury Watch Industry as a salesperson. And now I’m here to write about my stories, fascination, intrigue, and love of watches.

Las Vegas is where I call home. It’s no Switzerland, but it’s a fantastic place if you love horology. The variety of boutiques this city has to offer is astounding. Not only that, but you have plenty of reason to wear your coveted pieces around safely (with some good exceptions).

I’m a military brat that followed my father’s footsteps and joined the Navy. Back in 2001 I waltzed off the bus right into bootcamp. Five weeks in… 9/11 happened (that’s a story in it of itself). After four tedious years stationed out of Norfolk Naval Base, it was off to Vegas to be with family.

In 2008 I started working at a large watch retailer. And that is where my passion for watches really began to blossom. I was immediately intrigued with the precision and mechanics of fine watch making. Pair that with their art, materials, details, and sheer craftmanship blended together in such a tiny well-oiled package… How could you not love a good watch?

Every brand has its own history. Its own story. Their own philosophies. And their own style (this can be argued a bit). Maybe I should say that most of the TOP brands have their own uniqueness. As a salesperson, I was able to participate in brand specific trainings that watch buyers would salivate over. And now, I have a special insight into the brands we all love. Not only as one who sold them, but one who also has a love for them.

A watch isn’t just an accessory. It’s an expression of who we are.
